Help a disabled, purple heart recipient, rebuild!

My name is Michael Chartier, I live in Florida and I am doing this GoFundMe on behalf of a friend, Brother, Veteran, and Purple Heart recipient living in Louisiana and had his home destroyed by hurricane Laura this morning. Pictured, is my friends home. He is a disabled Veteran, a brother of mine, a Purple Heart recipient. We served together in Iraq in 2004. He purchased a piece of land in Louisiana and has been working hard building it up, only to have it torn to shreds, becoming homeless overnight in the process, because of hurricane Laura. I am making this GoFundMe page because I know he won’t. He has never been the type to reach out and ask for help and has always done what he could, on his own, to provide for his family. He is a hard working American family man who I view as a hero, almost (literally) giving life and/or limb for his country, and for those he served along side with. The least I can do is make this page for you to share and/or donate, in hopes the right people, and the right organizations see this, so he can get the help that he DESERVES! As this storm passes, I know many families will be affected, and will also need assistance, but this one, is personal to me. If anyone, or any organization sees this, and wants to help, they can also contact me and I will get them in touch with him. I am keeping his name off of this for privacy reasons.
