Help a child cope

Hi my name is Betti-Ann and I am raising funds to help a nine year old boy in foster care from up north who is struggling with health issues related to Hirschsprung disease. This little guy came to Montreal for a surgery that was planned to be 2 hours however he needed much more extensive procedures than original thought and he was on the operating table not 2 hours but 7 and a half hours. This disease will affect this child for life. Moving forward he will need to flush his intestines through a tube in his stomach everyday of his life. The procedure takes from one hour to an hour and a half daily where he will be confined to the bathroom while this procedure is done. This young boy has taken all of this in stride and has yet voice any complaints. We are fundraising hoping to be able to take him

on a trip to Legoland and other fun places while he is here in Montreal. We also would like to send him back up north with his own handheld gaming system to provide him with something enjoyable to do while he is confined to the bathroom for a hour to an hour half daily. This is one the bravest children I have fostered in over 38 years and he deserve to feel special. It will be ongoing struggle as he grows up to cope with his condition and we hope by giving some joyful experiences as he adjust to all of this it will be an easier time.

He is a wonderful child who has shown to have a resilience beyond most adults and by donating towards this it can bring some joy to a difficult situation .
