Welcome and thank you for visiting our fundraising website. We are grateful you have chosen to step up to the plate with us. Your donation will directly support Mike Harrison as he faces the harshest of diseases in ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Mike is a kind, caring, respectful and considerate man. He's a father to three lovely daughters Jennifer, Kacy and Lainey and a Step Father to Samantha Craig. He has 1 grand daughter, Penelope in Richmond Virginia. Jennifer his oldest daughter is expected to give birth later this year giving him his second granddaughter. He is an incredible son, friend, Uncle, Grandpa, and the best brother a person could ask for.
If you aren't familiar with ALS ( short for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). It is devastating. It dismantle you physically, at an unpredictable pace, until you are immobile and cannot fend for yourself. You are keenly aware of what is happening to your body but unable to do anything as you become trapped inside it.
As Mike fights on, he will need out support. ALS doesn't stop at a physical attack; it delivers financial blows as well. As if the trauma of losing a loved one isn't enough, families face the burden of a financial hardship. Mike and his wife Kim, face major expenses simply to survive, including two in the upcoming months. Remodeling their home for accessibility and a wheel chair accessible van that requires significant resources.
