Kiana is a black trans woman born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. In February, she was forced to leave an unsafe housing situation with her family of origin and has been living in her car ever since. Kiana works as a home health aid, but due to medical reasons she was unable to work and obtain any income for the past month. She is now working again, but between the stress of being unhoused, her medical issues and other relationship stressors, she is struggling to meet her basic needs.

Kiana has looked into a few apartments and would be able to maintain paying rent, but has been unable to secure move-in costs. The summer months are getting hotter and living in her car is becoming less viable.

Money from this fundraiser will go toward first/last/security deposit, furniture and housewares. She has also been unable to pay the co-pays for hormone therapy and has gone without hormones for the past few months, so money would also go toward medication co-pays. Having safe housing would completely change Kiana's life and allow her to work and begin healing from these traumatic past few months.

Please consider giving to Kiana's housing fund, let's support black trans women while they are living.
