Help Laurie Fight Cervical Cancer
Don protégé
To the person reading this – Thank you for taking a moment out of your busy life to positively impact someone else’s. My name is Sarah, and I have set up this GoFundMe for my best friend, Laurie, to support her as she navigates her cervical cancer diagnosis.
On Tuesday, February 6th, Laurie was admitted to Evergreen Hospital for a blood transfusion due to complications with her cervix. From there, they identified a 5cm mass and transferred her to UW Medical Center to be in the hands of an oncologist. After a series of tests, we were left in disbelief followed by deep sadness when the doctors informed us that she has cervical cancer stage 3.
In the upcoming weeks, she will be undergoing an aggressive treatment plan of radiation and chemotherapy and she’ll need all the strength, courage, and support she can get during this challenging time.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of crossing paths with Laurie can attest to how kindhearted, hardworking, selfless, compassionate, and strong she is. And those who don’t know her would know in the first moments of meeting her how true this statement really is. She is an incredible human being with a heart of gold, who always puts everyone else’s needs before hers.
It is now our turn to help her.
While her family and friends are there to support Laurie, we also understand the financial burden of medical expenses that can be overwhelming. Given Laurie’s inability to work, any financial support and words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. These funds will go directly towards her treatment plan and daily living expenses while she navigates this difficult journey, allowing her to focus on healing.
Any amount you’re willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you’re unable to contribute money at this time, Laurie asks for positive thoughts and as much love as possible sent her way! Please also share with your friends and family as it would mean the world to us as well.
The amount of love and support she has received so far is overwhelming and greatly appreciated more than you know. She is strong, resilient, and a fighter and we are confident that she will beat this!
Thank you all for your kindness and support during this time and for taking a moment to positively impact someone’s life.
With love and gratitude,
Sarah and Laurie’s family
