Help 7mo. Pregnant and Diabetic with Covid-19

On Friday Oct 9th my twin sister Veronica was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after being diagnosed with COVID 19 a couple day’s prior. My twin sister has been a type 1 diabetic for about 20 years and knew the Corona Virus could turn quickly with her conditions. This all came at a time with Veronica being 6 months pregnant with her first baby. (It’s a girl!) This year has been really hard on Veronica, she has been unemployed for most the year and growing a baby is exhausting as I have heard from her countless times. She had a series of unfortunate events early in the year leaving her without a stable home and job. She started working at a new job with high hopes to make some good income and be able to afford a place for her and baby Ella Grace by January. After one week on the job a coworker a few seats down from her contracted the virus and passed it on to Veronica. She has now been in the hospital for 6 days and is not sure when she will get out. As many of us know being in the hospital is not cheap and the last thing you want to do when you are there fighting for your life is worry about medical bills. Health insurance only covers so much of the treatments and extra care she has gotten due to her diabetes and pregnancy. Veronica will have a long road of recovery and will need our support getting back on her feet. She is still in need of a stable home for her and the baby come January, and will many medical costs occurred from being in the hospital. Please consider helping out even if it’s a small amount.
