Help 3dprint face shields for hospital staff

HELLO WORLD! Let’s be helpers! 

I am just starting this, so things are going to be moving quickly and changing. But I wanted to set up a resource for people to donate to cover supplies and expand capacity as this project continues to evolve.

Hospital staff all across the country and around the world are extremely short on PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Simple supplies, such as facemasks and face shields, that are needed to help keep all staff and patients protected from COVID-19 are on shortage right now. That’s bad news! 

But we can help! I have already begun printing and donating these face shields to local hospitals and as far away as New York City for the US Army. But I need your help! I need people to join me in keeping these in production. We need supplies and money for postage.

As you can see in the above link, people all around the world are stepping up to help this effort.  One of the largest 3-D Printer Manufacturers released the design above for free. Anyone that has a 3-D printer and is reading this, please start printing these immediately! As for the protective face material, I am looking for donations of mylar or any other non-porous plastic. I am also looking at extremely temporary workarounds like using page protecting sheets from a three ring binder.

All of these projects are temporary, and not meant to substitute for any available approved medical devices. This is an emergency and we all have to step up and do the best we can. I am open to any feedback and suggestions. 

Anything people can give would be appreciated and will be used 100% for this project and other ways we can help out our communities.
