Help 300+ Homeless Dogs Get Adopted

Last month I visited an animal shelter in Dubrovnik, Croatia. They have over 300 homeless dogs who are all well-loved and cared for. The shelter is boiling hot in summer and freezing cold in winter and some of the dogs have been waiting years to be adopted. The dogs don’t have aircon or heaters as the shelter can’t afford it and they get no money from the government.


The shelter is run by an amazing woman named Sandra who has dedicated more than 15 years of her life to running the shelter which has no permanent staff and only a few regular volunteers.

I noticed they don’t have a website which makes it hard for people to know where the shelter is, donate, see what volunteering opportunities are available and most importantly, see what dogs are available for adoption.

So their website is now being built for free to help dogs like Keksi (below) find his forever home  :)


But we need help to make the website to go live which I expect to happen in mid-late September if we can raise enough money to make it happen. (We’re using Squarespace to build the website which is where the money will be going directly to).

If we raise:
- $324, the website will be live for 1 year (first year comes with free domain and free email for 1 year)
- $748, the website will be live for 2 years


Please donate to help hundreds of homeless dogs at Zarkovica Animal Shelter. This website will give them a much bigger voice for people to hear and help!

**if any extra funds are raised, they’ll be used in 1 of 3 ways: used for 3rd year of website, used to help bring 3 labradors from Zarkovica Animal Shelter to Labrador Rescue in Australia (which is currently being worked on but not locked in just yet and it won’t be cheap!) or donated to the shelter.
