Tiffany, a US military veteran and single mother of Lincoln (3 yrs old), just lost everything in Hurricane Harvey.
My name is Ben Nathan. I am a film director & producer and I run a production company called Footage Films, based in New York. My team and I first met Tiffany and Lincoln back in January when we were brought in by a wonderful agency called Purpose, to create a mini-documentary film featuring them, on the importance of free eye-care in the US. When Lincoln was a baby, his doctors discovered he was almost blind in his right eye. Unable to afford glasses, Tiffany and Lincoln benefited from free eye-care and glasses provided by a local Houston organization called Prevent Blindness. (We have included the film we made with Lincoln and Tiffany, to give you the opportunity to "meet" them, and hear their story, pre-Harvey.)
Lincoln has been thriving since then, walking, running, learning, playing, and expressing himself.
When Harvey struck we contacted Tiffany to send our best wishes for her and Lincoln's safety and security.
After a long wait, just yesterday we heard back from Tiffany. They have lost everything – their home, their car, all of their furniture, and all of their clothing and shoes. The most that their insurance will cover is their car, if anything at all.
Thankfully, they are physically safe and have found an apartment to stay in, but they must now rebuild and regroup, from the ground up.

And if you feel so moved, please contribute to help Lincoln and Tiffany return to some semblance of normalcy as they recover from the trauma and loss of Hurricane Harvey. The funds raised will go entirely to Tiffany, for her to use to replace as much as possible of their lost property, clothing, and perhaps even purchase a new home.
