Help 11 yr Old Karlie Beat Brain Cancer

May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month. I have decided to start this GoFundMe page to help a young lady and her family in honor of my late husband Pete. His GoFundMe page was so wonderful in helping to cover expenses incurred during his fight! I am eternally grateful to all those that donated to his care.

I know all too well how difficult it is for someone and their family to get the news that they have this horrible disease and what comes next. Your lives are turned upside down and then you have to manage surgeries, treatments, rehab, medical bills, travel expenses etc.

All that you should have to worry about when dealing with something like this is healing and spending time with loved ones not how to pay for all of these unexpected and uncovered expenses.

Karlie is an 11 year old little girl who is a student of my sister in Springfield, MA school system. Karlie is the oldest of three kids her younger siblings are 1 and 3 and she comes from a single parent home. Karlie was a regular healthy young lady one minute and then experienced pressure in her eye and was having a difficult time focusing in school one day a few weeks ago. Her mother took her to the doctor and a large tumor was found in the back of her brain. Karlie was rushed into emergency surgery in Boston to remove the tumor. Karlie has a long road ahead and can use our help.

I'm hoping that we can help lessen the burden on Karlie and her family by raising funds to help cover the expenses that this horrible disease has brought upon her and her family.
