Hey everyone. We all know and love Daniel. He has touched so many of our lives over the years as a pillar of Fort Wayne's downtown community and recently, he has fallen on hard times. On September 27th, he suffered a massive GI bleed that almost took his life. Had his husband not been home to hear his cry for help, before he fainted and went into a seizure, he would not be with us today. It was a freak incident that landed him in the hospital for 5 days. His hemoglobin levels were so low that he was on constant watch in possible need of a blood transfusion, all the while having many procedures performed to find the cause, from CT scans, an endoscopy and colonoscopy amidst many blood tests. While his doctor's are still trying to figure out the exact cause, he's been home incredibly anemic and weak, trying to get his strength back. He's been off work now for about a month on strict bed rest and not having health insurance (like many people unfortunately don't have in this country or can afford) he is in desperate need of financial help. The hospital bills have been outrageous and with not being able to work, him and his husband are struggling.
