Baby Violet “Helicopter Rides Are EXPENSIVE!”

A good family is going through a tough time with their new baby. 

The story is below. What is not mentioned here is the $3,000  helicopter ride that is not covered under their insurance.

So, if we could all come together and help in a small individual way,  we could make a big difference in this families life right now. 

This is how the Father (Joe) described it to me:

“Sunday morning she started fussing and was acting like she had a cold. We took her to her doctors who said she had a cold and to keep an eye on her. So we did she continued to fuss all day they around dinner time she started passing blood so we contacted her pediatrician again who reccomended we go to the emergency room with an idea on a diagnosis. Once we got their she was diagnosed with a issue with her abdomen called intussusception which is basically were part of your bowel slides into the next and creates a blockage sort of like how a telescope collapses. At that point they decided to medivac her to children’s hospital of Philadelphia (this was around 2 am). When she got there they did some more tests and xrays and tried to resolve the issue in a non surgery way with no luck. At 6 am she went in for surgery to have it fixed in which they removed part of her bowl as it had also twisted and due to lack of blood flow had died. She did great and everything else looks healthy she had another procedure the next day to have a pic line(direct port closer to the heart) inserted so they can directly feed her nutrients and iv antibiotics. She has slowly started to eat but now has an infection they believe is just a cold but they are keeping an eye on it. We are hopeful maybe to get her home one day next week but we don’t have a timeline yet it all depends on how she recovers”
