The Rosa family needs our help. We hope you will prayerfully consider supporting them during this difficult time. The Rosa family consists of Noel (husband and father), Heather (wife and mother), Megan (13) and Grayson (1-year-old). Noel Rosa has been diagnosed with stage IV leukemia and has been battling that with chemo drugs for a few years now. He is considered in medical terms as "medicine managed". Which means that Noel still has cancer, but the chemo drugs help him manage his symptoms. Heather Rosa has been the sole provider for the family since Noel's diagnosis.

Earlier this month, Heather went to the doctor and was diagnosed with breast cancer on one side of her body. Heather was told at first that it was stage I, and the prognosis was good, but surgery was the best option followed by chemo as needed. However, upon further testing, doctors discovered that Heather has cancer on both sides and it is a very fast growing / aggressive cancer.

She is now diagnosed with Invasive Ductal, Triple Positive, Stage II Breast Cancer.

The doctors have changed the treatment plan.  Because this is a very aggressive form of cancer, they will be giving Heather 3 months of intense chemo treatment [TCHP], and if she can handle the chemo treatments, she will need a double mastectomy. After this surgery she will need HER2 drug for a year and hormone therapy for 10 years to prevent a relapse.

Although Heather has insurance, it is limited on coverage with very high deductibles. Everyone responses differently to chemo treatments, but the reality is she will be out of work most of the time and will certainly be off of work after she has her mastectomy.  Friends and family of the Rosa family are preparing to help with meals, traveling, and babysitting along with fulfilling other needs as they arise.

However, medical bills and regular bills will be a big problem as is expected with any major health issue. The Rosa family had to forego their mortgage payment along with other bills to come up with half of the co-pay ($2,000) for the port implant surgery she is having today, Sept. 20 (for the administration of chemo). This is just the start of the many medical bills that they will be encountering. They also owe an additional $4,000 for medical bills not covered by insurance.

The Rosa family needs prayer and support. Pray for all of them by name: Noel, Heather, Megan and Grayson. Please consider giving what you can to help the Rosa family to help with their medical bills and living expenses. As things progress updates will be offered. Thank you in advance for your prayers and for caring!
