Heather A. Petersen Perpetual Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
We are still hoping to raise the $60K for a Heather Ann Petersen Perpetual Scholarship Fund at Brigham Young University. Like Heather needed support during her internship, this fund will help those that need out-of-town sponsoring to do summer internships. We are in contact with Michael L. Davis, our BYU Scholarship/Donor Liason, and have started the process to have funds transferred to BYU from this GoFundMe account, though we need to reach the $60K mark soon. If you are still considering donating but haven't, or if you would like to again, please think of Heather and her wonderful light helping students for years to come... For those that have donated, thank you for your support of this vision in Heather's honor.

Heather was passionate about young people, especially young women, receiving a college education and valuable mentored experiences. When Heather was in college she was the recipient of a scholarship that funded an out-of-state internship, which covered all her expenses and enabled her to work in a New York City internship without pay. This internship changed her life, and through this and her subsequent career in New York City, she developed many of her most enduring relationships. To honor her memory and to continue her dedication to promoting education, her family has established a memorial scholarship fund to help students who, like Heather, are seeking out-of-state internships they may not be able to otherwise afford. With combined donations that reach a minimum threshold of $60,000, this endowment of the Heather A. Petersen Perpetual Scholarship will help young people for years to come.
