Heart Warrior Benjamin Decker

My son Ben was born with a severe heart defect, known as TGA or Transposition of the Great Arteries. It is a congenital (present at birth) heart defect. Due to abnormal development of the fetal heart during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy, the large vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs, and to the body are improperly connected. Essentially, the connections in the heart are "swapped." We were very lucky that doctors caught this early in the pregnancy.  Ben may not have survived, if we had not known about his defect. Ben had his life saving open heart surgery 5 days after being born and spent 7 more days in pediatric intensive care. Luckily, he has recovered very quickly.  We are very blessed to finally have this little guy home, he is a fighter. The medical bills are becoming overwhelming. While we want to be enjoying our new baby, we are left with the stress and hardship of a medical financial crisis. More and more bills come everyday. I thank God everyday, that  this is my struggle and not the other outcome. Please if you can help my family. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much
