Hearts for Hunger Food Drive

It's that time of year again to help keep families & kids from going hungry! This year I'm doing two different drives. First one being the Thrivent Financial "Hearts for Hunger" campaign benefiting the Union Gospel Mission and the second being our local school backpack program by Family Pathways. Last year's event was awesome and I want to see us do even better this year! So, like last year, I'm looking for bags of groceries with the specific items on the list that I will deliver to the Union Gospel Mission for distribution. I am also looking for monetary donations that we can distribute to Family Pathways Food Shelf who heads up the weekend Food Backpack program. The weekend backpack program is specifically for kids who don't have enough to eat on the weekends while they're away from school. Volunteers pack a bag with essential items of food so the kids have something to eat on the weekend. It's sad to hear how many kids go hungry in our communities, so I say we try to do something about that. So you can make checks payable to Family Pathways or donate online on this go fund me page, which are 100% tax deductible. We will have the Vikings game on during the event, have a kids bouncy house, volleyball, bag toss, firepit and will be grilling food. Bring the beverage of your choice and enjoy the game with us! Dress accordingly for the event as it will be outside and the game will be on in the garage. If you can't make the event we would still love to see a donation from any of you that can.
