Heartbreaking Disaster

To all the ones who know me well i have always been an extremely hard working, motivated person who feels like i can conquer anything. i am also not one to publicize my life struggles or hardships on social media but with the recent events i feel necessary to share some of these life circumstances with you.  Most know I began fostering children back in 2015. I had a life plan to have 2 children. Once i began fostering my passion to save children from hardships in life began my sole purpose on this earth. My wife and I have successfully adopted 4 out of 5 of our children. This past year has been one hell of a roller coaster for our family. We have an 18, 14, 2- 5 Year olds, and a 2 year old. Our two oldest daughters we took in at age 13 & 9. We have led them into therapeutic counseling, special trauma induced psychiatric help, and spent many hours working and battling over the phones to get them the best help that we could find in this state. That led to teenage rebellion on us for providing structure, routine, and discipline because they spent there whole life prior to us being able to make all their own decisions and choices raising themselves. Thru the struggles the oldest decided to rid us from her life when she grew back into contact with their biological parents whom are still unstable. The 14 year old has spent the last year choosing to refuse our help and treatment offered by the state which led her into really risky juvenile behaviors. Within the last few weeks our oldest in the home has stolen $1500 from my business which i co own with a buisness partner, stolen from friends and family members who have entered our room, and spent a couple of evenings sneaking out of the house and running away leading into a path of drugs and destruction. In turn as parents that has all fell upon us. The money stolen had to be replaced by us which was one financial hit. The following day we had went to visit some friends in missouri on New Year’s eve and since we traveled home early for Sam to get to work we had sent some money with some loved friends of ours to grab our food/groceries for us for the next 2 weeks. They were then involved in a terrible car accident which led to totally their vehicle and ended up with a couple hundred dollars of our food/groceries being destroyed. However in that moment that was the farthest worry from our mind. We wanted to make sure they were alive, safe, and okay. The rest is replaceable. Yesterday i was out with a surgical procedure with all my most recent health problems going on. At 2am this morning during the storm a tree collapsed onto our home going thru the roof and ceiling of our youngest daughters bedroom. Waking up to that catastrophe was very traumatic & to add the oldest daughter in the home is missing and did not return after school yesterday. We’re in complete and utter mental distraught. We had to evacuate our home At 2am this morning with all of our children. Personally I have never been one to ask for a hand out but in this moment i do not know any other alternative solution. I have no idea at this moment what all recovering from this is going to entail but i know it will be one massive financial hardship that i’m not quite sure how i’ll be able to accomplish no matter how hard i work while taking the time off work to get everything straightened out & we have no idea when or if we can return to our home. If there is any donation out there, we are reaching out for support at this moment of hardship and we thank the lord above for keeping our family alive and unharmed by this tragedy. God Bless.
