Heartbreak and Heroism

Donation protected

Julie Ciesielski single mother of a 3 year old son, were victims of the Malden Washington fire that took place on
Labor Day.
Julie was with friends and family in Rosalia when she received a call that her neighborhood was on fire.
They all quickly rushed to Pine City to pickup her 3 year old son Ethan from the baby sitter.  The town was already ablaze.  Julie's cousin rushed on to rescue Julies four pets at her house in Malden, not far away.

Julie along with her companions first arrived at Julies parents house.
The outbuilding and yard were already engulfed in flames.
The house had an above-the-ground swimming pool in the back yard.
Julie, thinking quickly, slashed the pool liner and flooded the yard, saving the house.  Her parents where out of town at the time.
By the time Julie got to her house it was already consumed by fire.

Julie and her son Ethan had just moved to Malden to make it their home just two short months ago.  They lost everything.  Julie's cousin was only able to save two of four of Julie's pets,  her dog Rukus and a beloved cat.

Before the fire, Julie had been working from home due to Covid, for an autistic childrens outreach.
She is looking forward to having a place of her own to continue her work.

Any amount would help Julie and Ethan to reach their goal.
The need is urgent as they are now homeless.

Thank You!
