This is my Friend Dean Chapman. Born and raised in Hudson NH and now living in Goffstown New Hampshire.
Dean was recently diagnosed with stage three Multiple Myeloma. This is terminal bone cancer. On a daily basis we hope and pray for remission.
This man has more heart and soul than most people that I have known my whole life. The way he continually thinks of everyone and everything around him has left me in tears, and as he battles he continues to live his life it's just who he is.
Brianna Chapman he would describe as his whole world, his best friend, his heartbeat. This alone speaks of his soul and how he thinks of his blood. There is nothing closer to perfection than his love for his daughter.
Deans friend Nikki defines Dean with kindness, compassion, integrity, loyal, loving friend, dedicated employee, insanely devoted to his Daughter and his family. He took me under his wing when my son Brandon passed. Simply an amazing individual.
He is fighting a battle that I would never wish on anyone. He was sent home from work about five weeks ago after passing out while on the job. This was a result of all the chemo/radiation. Until that point he was getting up and working everyday, because this is the kind of man he is.
He can not go back to work at this time, as he needs to have some other medical issues tended too. He needs to concentrate on fighting this evil disease. We all know life is not fair. Knowing people have your back is what helps people have the ability to continue to fight the fight.
We are not looking for a ton of money. We just want to take the pressure off for a bit so he can breathe and concentrate on fighting.
At the end of the day, this is what life is about. It's about finding a way to help when you feel helpless.
It's about a simple gesture that can instill hope.
It's about the opportunities in life to do something good, instead of ignoring a situation.
This is about helping a man who I am honored to call FRIEND who deserves the spotlight for a brief moment to help him gain a bit of piece.
