For those who know Jamie, you know the amount of time, love, passion, money, and resources she's put into her community all these years through her work with not-for profit organizations such as Gateway Pet Guardians, and currently the ASPCA. And now it's time we put Jamie on the receiving end of the love and generosity...

Life for Jamie, her husband Shaun, and their two young children (Ella, 10 & Charley, 7) changed drastically when she was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma on January 11, 2024. She has already undergone a bilateral mastectomy, as well as an emergency hematoma removal. The unexpected news that disease was found in the lymph nodes and the tumor was larger than expected means she'll undergo another surgery to remove all the axilla lymph nodes, with the very likely possibility of radiation to follow. Additionally, Jamie has had, and will continue to need, hormone suppressant treatments because the cancer is fed by estrogen and progesterone.

All of these details add up to a lot of emotional, physical, and financial strain for this young family. Jamie is doing everything she can to make her body inhospitable to cancer, including naturopathic remedies in addition to the more traditional western medical interventions. This means:

Jamie is working with an incredible team of oncologists, surgeons, nurses, and naturopaths in order to feel her best, while aligning with her values and trusting in her own body's ability to heal.
