Jess needs your support NOW!

UPDATE.

We are heartbroken. On the evening of the 10th, our Jess left her body. The love that we have all felt in the past days has been a clear representation of the light that she shared.

We are beyond grateful for the love and support over the last 24 hours. The speed that this fundraiser grew and expanded is a clear representation of the connection and love Jess shares with each of you.

The money raised will not go to waste. There are costs to cover for the final medical bills, preparations, cremation, and getting Jess back home to her family.

As you can imagine, this is an extremely channeling time for those close to Jess and we ask that you honour the families time to grieve, as well as knowing that you are not in this alone.

Jess was and is a connector, we are all connected here through her, and so please know that you are not alone.

After Jess passed a bright rainbow shone in the sky, we feel it was Jess letting us know all is ok .

YESS JESS

——————

Our beloved Yess Jess is in life-threatening condition, and needs your help!

Over the past few days, an unexpected diagnosis of diabetes, severe pneumonia, and hyper thyroid have left Jess sedated, unresponsive, and dependent on a ventilator to breathe.

While traveling in Danang, Vietnam, Jess experienced sickness and shortness of breath. On Saturday she cancelled her morning classes because she simply couldn’t speak anymore (if you know Jess, she never cancels on her students!) and she made her way to the hospital.

After countless tests, x-rays, and scans, she was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia, diabetes ketoacidosis (a life threatening complication of diabetes that she didn’t know she had), and inflamed intestines. After struggling to breathe, they rushed her in an ambulance to a nearby hospital with a better-equipped ICU.

As typical Jess, she was resistant to reach out to anyone until the doctors required her to call an emergency contact. Her health was quickly deteriorating, and she was in and out of consciousness.

As she was getting into the ambulance on Saturday, she squeezed my hand and said,
"Special K, is this the end?"
I so badly want this not to be true.

Jess' heart is not strong enough to transfer to another hospital, and the local Danang hospital is very isolated with minimal visiting hours, limited to only one person for 30 minutes, 3x a week. Some days she can respond with a nod, others she is heavily sedated and unresponsive. While we are told she is in the best hospital, she is in a shared room in a foreign-country with different standards of care.

If you have had the honour of connecting, crossing paths, or even hearing the infectious laugh of our dear Jess, then you know how much light she has to share with this world.

Right now she needs your love, your healing energy, and any financial contribution to support her and her family with medical bills. While she is currently in Vietnam, funds will be transferred to her family in Texas.

A note from her loving family:
Jess’ genuine happiness radiates with fun, travel, food, friends, and family. She and her nephew Tristian are each others biggest Stans. All of our good vibes combined will only attract positive outcomes.

Thank you, we love and appreciate all of you.
