Spinal Cord Injury, What I need, & what's covered.

A Star Wars fan, a trap music junky, a techy, a person who always intended to be healthier for his son, his wife, himself. He'd just turned forty in October, he'd done 2 marathons, a stint with herbal life, a planet fitness membership, he'd use honey in lieu of sugar and read labels zoning in on carbs and sugars because he'd lived 10 years with diabetes. 6 weeks into his fortieth year, he' d be misdiagnosed twice as back spasm, then mistreated once. His true diagnosis was epidural abscess of the lumbar spine. Then it was accompanied by diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and Epidural abscess of his entire spine. No surgery and conservative treatment, became 1 surgery, followed by a 2nd, then 2 procedures with multiple diagnostics, and finally 2 months thus far in the hospital. Concerns about weight and becoming healthy fade in comparison to the lists of concerns associated with tetraplegia and the costs which lead me to this go fund me. Michael needs a motor assist wheelchair, a hoyer lift among other things which will allow us to care for him better and safer.
