Healing,Help, and Hope for Becca!

Imagine just turning 40 years old, yet feeling much older due to chronic pain...The thought of getting out of bed in the morning is daunting, as with every footstep, comes pain. Eating isn’t always easy, due to the nausea from the pain….and pain meds? They barely even touch it. Life becomes sad. Wondering if you will feel well enough to go to work, or will you have to call in, yet another day? Welcome to Becca’s life. She has been suffering from an autoimmune condition called RSD (Reflex Dystrophy Sympathetic Syndrome) since 2012. This condition causes her to have severe nerve pain, and makes it almost impossible to predict how she will feel from day to day. Due to this illness, she has had to exhaust her leave time at work, and is taking unpaid leave each day she misses work. If this wasn’t bad enough, Becca has recently learned that she now has cervical cancer. Although the extent of her cancer is not yet known, she will have to undergo a surgery, to help determine how invasive it is. This means, you guessed it, more time off from work. Becca struggles currently with just day to day tasks that we all take for granted. Walking to the kitchen, getting laundry done, cleaning, etc. Going out of the house to get errands done, is on most days, not possible. Too much pain.

Due to the previous illness, and the lack of not working, there has been an extreme hardship placed on Becca. Bills still need to be paid, rent to be able to have a place to live, copays for the doctors, deductibles for the health insurance, especially with the upcoming cancer surgery, and possibly treatment. She is currently living with her boyfriend, and his son. Her boyfriend is doing his best to bring in money to the household, but all of the expenses and inconsistent income have made this extremely challenging.

To help offset the cost of medical bills, and time that has to be taken off of work, as well as the uncertainty of the future, we are asking for donations.
