Healing for Mighty Mason

Dear friends & family,
On Saturday night, September 1st, my 6 year old great nephew, Mason was accidentally burned from his shoulder blades down to the back of his thighs. What should have been a relaxing, long weekend turned into a medical emergency.
He was airlifted to St. Christopher's Pediatric Hospital in Philadelphia with second degree burns. He spent the next five days in the ICU burn unit. While there he underwent two surgeries to graft new skin & begin the long healing process.
Mason needs to go back twice a week to the hospital for follow up care and possible multiple surgeries for a minimum of nine months. He is at the very beginning of a long journey back to his strong, energetic 6 year old self.
His parents, Chelsea & Casey have been by his side each & every moment. Sacrifices will have to be made...leaves of absence from work, home schooling and 4 hour trips back & forth to the hospital (2 hours each way). All of which will be done with love & care by a devoted family.
We are asking for your help for this young family. Any donation big or small will help with medical expenses, gas, tolls, lost wages & unknown future costs.
Mason is a very bright & active 6 year old. What should have been his first day of school turned out to be his very long ride home from the hospital. Through all of this, he has remained brave, strong & never without his smile which lights up the room! Mason has shown nothing but courage during this nightmare. So let's come together & help make Mason mighty again!
