Healing Art for hospitals

Donation protected
I implore you to not just read my story but actively participate, become a speaker or an art therapist contribute to a narrative of resilience that transcends dehumanizing judgments.

Mostly my work is about understanding the polarity and my bipolarity , the femenine and masculine aspects of the being; but also tapping into how creative energy and spirituality improves our overall health

Why hospitals?
My dad raised me by his own since I was 8 years old, when my mother passed away and he is a internist doctor, he worked in a hospital in the emergency department and I spent my childhood there around doctors, nurses, medicine, social workers and patients; the anguish is unavoidable.

That allowed me to observe at amazing and critical moments in human behavior.

After I entered to operation room to give birth to my child I lost a lot of blood facing that moment where a reborn for me, and then when became mental patient everything was a rollercoaster of fear, chaos, shame, anxiety and unhuman treatment for some people of the staff or doctors themselves where overwhelming. Still, I also discovered comprehension, empathy, compassion, care, love and soul connection.
Even now dealing in hostile environments and facing persons that are sick but they don't know or doesn't want to treat themselves is quite frustrating, so I believe that the world makes us better if we accept and go through healing process in a lot of levels, then we make the world better.

Art saved my life, the opposite of depression is expression right? and when I got deeper into myself colors, frequencies, and healing frequencies in sounds and in color, making art became my transformation journey and transmutation tool.

This project, book and series actually is about engaging in creative behaviours that improves brain function as well as, mental and physical health focused on patients and healthcare providers.
Whether you are in the waiting room or a patient this project looks to NOT SALE ANY ARTWORK during 3 years, but to bring the complete 33 pieces exhibition to 12 different locations in the field of mental care, clinics and hospitals,if you have a location and contribute with transportation contact me at innovation (at) emellyvelasco -dot- com

Constant mood swings
Sadness (depression)
Sense of loneliness
Anger and anxiety
Going to inhuman hospital centres where the patient is a number not a person.

There are 3 invoices like this one just to start €1600, €1435 and €3,000 and yet not counting the transportation preparation, materials and payment of effort to make this project come true.
Work book in PDF for espectadora
And guidelines for installation
Pay the writers, art therapists and others volunteers.

Would you help me to frame in and buy materials, pay volunteers and pay transportations?

I have 33 works of art in 50x60 and 40x50, I selected them, they are depicted metaphorically and therefore all wounds, scars, cuts, strings and groups are part of human life, which goes through life and a healing process.

I spoke to artists and art therapists to ask how art and creativity can improve your health and wellbeing not only physically but also spiritually, emotionally and mentally.

I’m an international visual artist since 2014.
Psychiatrist’s patient since 2017.
Public Speaker since 2014.
Single Mother since 2011.
MBA since 2020.
Stroom Den Haag Deny my "Haagse Kunstenaar-Title" due not to having enough presence in Den Haag ( mentioning that I did my degrees in México not in The Netherlands -because of that I can't ask for public cultural funds for this project)

In the haunting shadows of Den Haag, my artistic journey, born from personal and professional struggles, facing rejection from Stroom, KABK and The Gementee, the reason is unknown (or is not open to discussion) overcoming discrimination due (to protocol and standarts).

Still I have faith in a better version of ourselves by healing our wounds and traumas, by giving colors that bring us peace and frequencies that energetically make us feel stronger and happier. No artwork from the 33 is for sale in the upcoming 3 years.

Amidst hospital anguish, creativity emerges as a beacon.

Together, let's paint a future where creativity thrives despite the disheartening echoes of denial. Share, participate, and join in framing a collective story of defiance.

During 3 years no piece is for sale; your support is very important to continue this journey, is there a waiting list if you want to get one piece in the future.
