Headstone for Amy’s son

Today I had a chance meeting as pulled  through the Wendy’s drive up. The woman taking my order was so kind and really went out of her way to make sure our order was correct and perfect. It feels like sometimes these days people don’t always go out of their way to be friendly or overly helpful. I wanted to make she knew what a great job she was doing. As we got talking she told me she was trying really hard to get a raise so she could pay for her 15 year old sons headstone who died earlier this year. My heart broke for her.  My daughter was is a terrible car accident this year and when I got the call I was only told they were pulling people from the cars. For the next 20 minutes as we made our way to the accident I wasn’t sure if my daughter was alive. The pain was incredible. I envisioned loss I knew I would never get over.  Luckily my daughter was okay. She has had a road to recovery but she is here. My mom heart instantly went out to this mom as I had felt that pain only for a brief moment.  I want to help her honor her son. I can’t imagine what she must be going through, especially this time of year. I know it has been a tough year for all but please give even if it’s just a little. I would love to see this mom be able to honor the life of her son. Merry Christmas to all!
