Ethio “80’s Kids” COVID-19 Mitigation Initiative

”Little Contributions Bring a Huge Change!” We, the "Ethiopian 80’s Kids Group", are having good times of reminiscing and cherishing our golden childhoods since the start of our Facebook group four months back. As it is known, it is unfortunate that our planet earth is currently facing a worldwide pandemic that is claiming the lives of many people regardless of Age, Sex, Religion, Ethnicity and Economic background. Following this, we, as the ‘Ethiopian 80’s Kids Group’ have planned to support our community in mitigating the destruction that the Coronavirus epidemic has yet basically to bring in Ethiopia. Knowing the living standard and capacity of our community, this virus is sure to affect many people and we believe that our small contribution can fill significant gaps for the people who cannot easily support themselves in this crucial time. Considering the above high points, We have already started the movement by Opening a local fundraising bank account and setting up a GoFundMe online money transfer platform for the diaspora members of our group and any other concerned people who wants to stretch their hands for this golden and blessed cause. We would like to humbly ask the volunteer members to stretch their hands for support as soon as possible. We would also like to thank the members who brought up this idea and those who already have and are planning too. May God protect our people and our beloved country from this pandemic! " ብሎ መጠየቁ አይቀርም። ነገር ግን ዘላለም የነበረ እና ወደፊትም የሚኖር ሃቅ ነው። ለዚህም ነው እኛ እጅ ላይ ትንሽ ያልናት እርዳታ ከሌላው ጋር ተደምራ ህይወትን ያህል ትልቅ ነገር ስትታደግ የምናየው። ዛሬ ሁላችንም የታሪክ አጋጣሚ ሆኖብን ዓይናችን እያየ ዓለማችን ጥቁር መከራ ፊቷ ተጋርዶባታል። ይህ መከራ ደግሞ ከዚህ በፊት በታሪክ እንደታዘብናቸው ችግሮች ሀገር ከሀገር ለይቶ አሊያም አንዱን ዘር ትቶ ሌላውን የሚያጠቃ ሳይሆን ከሰሜን ዋልታ እስከ ደቡብ ዋልታ ድረስ የሰውን ልጅ በሙሉ ሀብታም ከድሃ ሳይል የተማረ ካልተማረ ሳይለይ ለሁሉም እኩል የመጣ መከራ ነው። ለዚህም ነው አንዳንድ አካሎች ይህንን ክስተት «ሰው መሆኛን መፈተኛ ክስተት ነው» ብለው የሚናገሩት። እኛም “የ80ዎቹ ልጆች” ምናልባት በዚህ ጊዜ ፈጣሪ ይህንን ቴክኖሎጂ ሰበብ አድርጎ ያሰባሰበን ለምክንያት ይሆን ይሆናል። ይህንንም ስብስባችንን ከሳቅ ከጨዋታ ባለፈ በኮሮና ቫይረስ ወረርሽኝ መከሰት ምክንያት የዕለት ጉርሳቸው እና ከበሽታው ለመከላከል ለሚውሉ የጽዳት ቁሶችን ለማግኘት አቅም ላነሳቸው ወገኖች የበኩላችንን አስተዋጽኦ ለማበርከት ለምን እንጠቀምበት? የሚል በጎ ጥያቄ ከአባሎች እና ከአድሚኖች መጥቷል። ስለሆነም ይህንንም ፍላጎት እውን ለማድረግ የሁላችንም እገዛ እና መልካም ፈቃደኝነት ስለሚያስፈልገው በአጭር ጊዜ ውስጥ ተወያይተን ወደ እርምጃ እንድንገባ ሃሳቡን ለውይይት ወደ እዚህ መድረክ አምጥተነዋል። ሩጫችን በሽታው ከሚሮጠው አንፃር ስለሆነ አባሎች በጉዳዩ ላይ ያላችሁን አስተያየት ሆነ ጥቆማ በቶሎ እንድታቀብሉን በታላቅ ትህትና እንጠይቃለን። ለእኛ ከእኛ በላይ ማንም የለም ሕዝባችንን እና ሀገራችንን ፈጣሪ ይጠብቅልን! ከእኛ የ80ዎቹ ልጆች አድሚኖች
