Fire Wiped Out My Family's Homes
Donation protected
On March 25, 2018, a fire raged through the area in Western Bicutan, Taguig, Philippines where my three brothers, my sister, my parents and their families lived. All five homes were destroyed. According to news reports, 600 people became homeless due to the fire. My siblings and parents and my 14 nieces and nephews escaped with only the clothes on their backs. All their belongings, clothes and personal things were destroyed. All of my brothers are employed as mechanics for auto dealerships, and are working, but they need not only temporary shelter but a way to rebuild their lives. Money raised by this campaign will be used directly for clothes, shelter and kitchen and personal items that we take for granted every day. Five families need our help and we are hopeful that with your generosity, that they can get on the road to recovery and rebuild their homes and their lives. We estimate that $25,000 can get them far along in replacing their necessities and their homes. Funds are needed as quickly as possible as getting the children in a stable living environment is key. After the fire, the families have been forced to stay outside under a covered basketball court in their neighborhood.
