Haylee’s Fight with Leukemia

Our dear friends and family, Codi and Kayla Werth, are the loving parents of two beautiful girls, 5-year-old Haylee and Nora who is almost two. Anyone who has met Haylee (a.k.a. Goose) knows she offers endless entertainment through her humor, spunk, and feistiness.
Early on Sunday, October 18, Haylee was taken to the emergency room for pain in her hips and legs, and quickly referred for further testing. The following day, a bone marrow biopsy was performed and by Monday afternoon Kayla and Codi were delivered devastating news – Haylee was diagnosed with Leukemia. Her specific type is Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Haylee’s chemotherapy treatment began very quickly. She will be going through treatment for two and a half years, with the first portion of treatment being the most intense. The coming months and years will be very difficult and trying for this family as they navigate this illness and Haylee’s fight.
Haylee is a fighter, and her infectious personality will help her through this. She has an incredible team of doctors, nurses, and specialists to see her through this treatment. They have the support of their family, extended family, and friends, and they need you to join Haylee’s fight too!
The first thing the Werth family needs is our prayers throughout this journey. In addition, there will be many costs adding up throughout her treatment with medical bills, transportation, and other expenses. We hope to alleviate some of the financial burden they will be facing and ask that you please consider donating so they can focus their attention on Haylee’s health.
