Hayes family house fire relief

Last Thursday night, just before midnight, the Hayes family (mom, Kellie and daughter, Nikki) experienced the unthinkable. The details are still emerging, but it sounds like someone had entered the house adjoining their own and started a fire. The fire spread to their own home and within minutes, they lost everything. They did not have any insurance and are currently living in a hotel and trying to secure housing. This appeal is for money to help them pay for a security deposit and first month's rent for a new place (estimated to cost approximately $1600) as well as for immediate needs, like grocery cards ($350) and money to pay for laundering the few clothes that they have ($50). Any extra money will be given for them to pay for housing until they find another home to rent.              

I know Kellie because Nikki was in day care and is now in the same classroom with my daughter, Saphira. Although anyone would need help after an emergency like this, Kellie is a single mother with few resources locally. Please consider whether you might be able to help our our friends in need. Funds are needed as soon as possible.
