Dear friends and family,
I suffered an accident on Wednesday, June 21st of 2017. My car was totaled and my torso and back were injured. A couple of my bones were fractured and it will take 4 to 6 weeks at least of recovery time. I am grateful for my life and that the severity of my injuries are not as bad as they could have been.
However, I need your help. I am unable to work for quite some time due to these injuries. I will not be receiving any help from the person who hit me as he was unlicensed and uninsured, and he fled as the tow truck was removing my car from the lane. Unfortunately, I only had liability insurance, which doesn't cover my car at all.
I have been living paycheck to paycheck for some time. Some of you know i have been going through a divorce, which has been extremely difficult emotionally and financially. My children receive a very small percentage of the child support that they are due every month, if any. I can only count on what I earn. I have been working very hard to keep things stable for my children and making great progress in improving our situation up until this point. This car accident jeoapardizes the stability I have workded so hard to provide for my children.
What is needed right now is to keep things going until I can go back to my jobs.. I have estimated the costs of being out of work and what i will need to secure transportation for myself, and it comes out to about $6000. I have always helped others when I could and I humbly ask for your help today. My sister and I are creating t shirts, and are offering them to anyone who is able to donate $20 or more. I'm trying to do this in a good way, I know things are hard for many. We will have the design up soon for the t-shrits. Please know that every little bit helps and I would never ask for anything that my family and I don't need. These are just the costs to survive until I can get back on my feet. It's frustrating to lay here healing when there is so much to do. Thank you for your help.
