Rehab and Respite for Alan

Alan initially went into the hospital on the evening of April 21 and has had a quite a bumpy ride.  He's gone from the hospital to sub-acute rehab to home to hospital and now back to sub-acute rehab.  Mistakes were made.  But I am pleased to report that he is now receiving excellent care and is on the mend, but we need your help!

He is on the path to have his heart valve replaced, but he needs to keep working on getting himself "tuned up."  

The doctor tells us that the soonest he would be able to have the TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) procedure would be in 6 weeks (mid-August).  In the meantime, we need to help him become stronger and healthier so he can remain on the path to valve replacement and a better quality of life.  To do this, we need to provide him with respite housing, daily care and assistance, and additional skilled nursing care.

Due to his complicated medical situation and fragile state, it is critical that we are able to provide him with expert medical care as well as the comforts of home.

Please help us cover these costs:
1. Rehab Facility Co-Pay ($175 per day) - through July 16
2. Respite Housing and Daily Assistance ($160 per day) - starting July 16
3. Additional Daily Medical Care (approx. $60-100 per day) - starting  July 16
