Hello!
My name is Kjell Vidar Røyne, I am 47 years old, from Norway.
In 1985 I fell of a roof, and suffered a spinal injury, from TH10 to L3, I was partially paralyzed in both legs. This again caused bad blood circulation in my legs and I had to amputate my right leg (below knee) in 1992, and again in 2006 I had to amputate my left leg to (below knee).
From 1991 until 2010 I played Para Ice Hockey, after Vancouver's paralympic games i resigned. My career gave me
- 2 Paralympic Silver medals
- 1 Paralympic Bronze medal
- 1 World Champ. gold medal
- 3 World Champ. silvermedals
- 1 European gold medal
After I stopped playing Para Ice Hockey, I startet with sitski (monoskiing) for fun. In 2016 I was introduced to Randonee skiing, something I thought was to difficult for me, since I was a double amputee, but I gave it a shot and just loved it. I have walked some minor mountains, but my dream is to walk Norways Haute Route

I walk up on randonee skiis, but I go down the mountains with a sitski since I can't do stand up alpine skiing because of my prostetic legs. This means I need help to carry the equipment up the mountains, and I have a team of "sherpas" that will aid me.
The trip will be in April 2019, and during the next 14 months I will practice on mountains both big and small in my local area.
Since I need help on achieving this tour, I need funding.
The tour itself costs about 18 000 NOK (2200$) per person, so this alone is 72 000 NOK (8800$). In additon to this, I need my "sherpas" on shorter practice tours, and to take some leave of absence from work.
So the funding I am asking you for is 100 000 NOK (12 000$)
