Haudenosaunee Nationals Road to the Olympics

The Iroquois Nationals Development Group (INDG) is a Non Stock Nonprofit 501(c)(3) supporting the Iroquois Nationals (now the Haudenosaunee Nationals). Previously INDG was known as Road Warriors Lacrosse. We are working with GoFundMe to update the name change to reflect this transition.
LACROSSE is coming to the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. Haudenosaunee Nationals Women’s’ and Men’s’ Lacrosse Teams(formerly Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse) will be on the Road to the Olympics. World Cup competitions starting in June 2022 in Towson, MD and World Games Olympic Qualifier Games start July 7 in Birmingham, Alabama. U-21 team travels to Limerick, Ireland in August.

Our new website
Lacrosse is an Indigenous game. We call it the Creator’s Game and it was originally played as a Medicine Game with special instructions to dispel conflict, to heal and to have fun. Today our players are Ambassadors of their game carrying the original message of Friendship, Healing and Peace to other nations of the world. They travel on Haudenosaunee passports, marching together with the Hiawatha Belt, our flag and speaking our languages, celebrating our culture and our sovereignty.
Peace through Sport
Lacrosse is like no other sport. The original game of lacrosse has embedded in its roots and values instructions that the Haudenosaunee players carry with them. The message of Healing, Friendship and Peace; a message the world desperately needs today.
The Haudenosaunee men’s and women’s lacrosse teams respectfully welcome your financial support in our efforts to compete in the World Games on our way to securing a place in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

MORE THAN A GAME...
Protecting Sovereignty and the Right to Self-Determination
We acknowledge with respect our siblings the Tongva, Kizh, Chumash, and Indigenous Nations of areas now known as Los Angeles and California where Lacrosse will be played as an Olympic Game.
What sets the Haudenosaunee Confederacy apart from all Indigenous Nations is that we are still governed by our Grand Council of Chiefs on our traditional homelands. The U.S. and Canadian systems of governance are patterned after Haudenosaunee systems of governance. This is why Haudenosaunee sovereignty is so fundamentally crucial.
Thanks to the generosity of Ireland Lacrosse (read more here ), the Haudenosaunee Nationals will take their rightful place later this summer among the world’s best teams at the 2022 World Games and other international competitions. Within the context of these games, it’s important to understand that lacrosse is our game, our dream, and our gift to the world. And, importantly, it is the vehicle through which the Haudenosaunee Nationals carry the sovereignty of the past, present, and future of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. It is a tool for guaranteeing to the seventh generation coming that they will have their birthright homelands as our ancestors insured for us.
In 2021, the International Olympic Committee endorsed full recognition of World Lacrosse for men’s and women’s lacrosse, an important step forward in the sport’s journey to the Olympics. For the Haudenosaunee Nationals, participation in the Olympics means being universally recognized as a sovereign nation. The 2028 Olympics therefore represent a historic moment and opportunity for the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, a moment that holds the promise of bolstering our continued position as an independent sovereign Indigenous Nation.
