Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends of Hastings,

We are thrilled to invite you to join us in an exhilarating journey to enrich our school's fitness facilities and offerings. Our commitment to promoting the benefits of physical fitness and mental well-being is at the heart of this initiative. With your help, we aim to expand our fitness resources, empowering our students to delve deeper into the physical and psychological advantages that come with regular physical activity, both during school hours and beyond.

Get ready for an electrifying experience with our 'All Night Physical Activity Challenge'! This event, scheduled to span from the evening of Friday, 15th March at 20:00 to the morning of Saturday, 16th March at 10:00, promises an unforgettable night of energy and enthusiasm. Our students will engage in a variety of dynamic activities, including basketball, table tennis, fitness, badminton, dodgeball, Just Dance, indoor football, indoor cricket and rowing.

This challenge marks the culmination of Hastings CARES week. We anticipate a grand finale where participants will join the Hastings High School parkrun at 09:00 on Saturday, aiming to set a new record for participation. We warmly invite parents, guardians, and friends to be a part of this inspiring parkrun event.

Your support in this endeavour is invaluable. We welcome contributions to bolster the spirits of those bravely undertaking this challenge. Your donations, whether monetary or in the form of fitness equipment, will greatly enhance our curriculum and extracurricular activities which we continue to invest in, fostering a healthier, more vibrant school environment.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and look forward to your presence and encouragement at the parkrun. Together, let's make this event a resounding success and a testament to our community's spirit and dedication to our students' holistic well-being.

DONATIONS & SPONSORS
'Empire Fitness'

A huge thank you to Joe and Sarah, owner and manager retrospectively, of one of our local gyms, Empire Fitness (Druid Street), for their generous donation. A weights rack, including dumbbells ranging from 12.5lb to 40lbs and a much needed weights tree for storage. Our students will benefit greatly from all of the donated equipment! 'Snap Fitness'

Wow! A massive thank you to Sammy and the team at Snap Fitness for giving a generous donation of a three Octane steppers (one lateral) and an Octane bike. ABC Conservatories

Ashley Brown of ABC conservatories was crucial in securing our donation from Snap Fitness. Unable to transport equipment, Ashley offered his services and time free of charge, using his team to collect and transport our donation from Snap Fitness to Hastings High School. Ashley has helped the school on two separate occasions, collecting two pieces of equipment one week and another two the week after! We are extremely grateful for having local businesses, and parents, willing to donate their time, resources and energy towards our cause. Thank you once again to Ashley and his team.

'Places Gym'

We want to offer our thanks and appreciation to Yolanda at Places Gym (Hinckley) for the generous donation of equipment to be utilised by our students. This includes a 12kg and 20kg Olympic barbell, 2" weight plates of various weights from 1.25kg to 15kg, a range of dumbbells from 2kg to 14kg and 5 kettlebells of various weights!

'Bodywize Evolved'

Thank you to Darren at Bodywize Evolved gym for the generous contribution of two sets of resistance bands. They offer differing resistances and are ideal for all, from beginners to experts; providing versatility to any workout! Darren has also reached out to offer our students bespoke training opportunities in the future. Watch this space!

'Parental Donation'

Without the support of our parents, carers, friends and the local community, our fundraiser wouldn't be a success. Thank you to the parent of one of our year 9 students, who generously donated brand new equipment to be utilised by our students. This will be perfect for our circuit and resistance-based lessons.
