Hasani's Fight

Nine years ago, on August 1st, 2010, Hasani Rowe was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the third ventricle of his brain with dilatation of the lateral ventricles. With the help of charitable organizations and kind-hearted Barbadians, funds were raised so Hasani could undergo brain surgery at a hospital in Canada in November 2010.However, the operation only removed the tumor partially as part of it is in a critical area of his brain that could result in paralysis or worse and therefore it remains.

       Hasani just turned 20 years old this past December and sadly, the tumor is once again affecting his body. Doctors have made it explicitly clear that surgery is not an option this time leaving chemotherapy as his only option. On March 27th, the effects of the tumor have made the right side of Hasani's body weaker, while causing immense pain in his legs impeding his ability to walk.

       Hasani’s parents Mark and Jennifer Rowe are doing everything they can to keep their son alive, but they are facing mounting bills. Apart from the remaining debt from the surgery he received, the additional monthly cost of his oral chemotherapy medication is approximately $3000 US (about $6000 in Barbados currency). Needless to say, this has created an overwhelming financial crisis for his family and they are in urgent need of financial assistance.

       With humble hearts we are appealing to the general public for financial assistance to offset the mounting medical bills.
