Harvey - Rebuild & Move In

Deb and I had 3 weeks before bought our dream home. It was 44 years old, worn but we felt with fresh paint and a lot of love it would be our final home. Nearly every dime was used to purchase and do initial repairs. We were three days from moving in when Harvey put five feet of water in the home for days. Now we discovered our storerooms have been inundated in Beaumont also.
We, like other, have no flood insurance. Even if we had, it would not have gone into effect as there is a 30 day wait period.
Repairs will go $30K at a minimum. We do not have this. Deb's family is helping some but certainly not to this degree. Family & friends have come to do the cleanup. They have been more than great.
If you have the ability to help out it would be truly appreciated. It is not like Deb and me to ask but we are told by friends we should put it out there and ask. So that is what we are doing as the expenses keep mounting up.
Thank you for even considering donating to us. You would be a God send. Every penny will be used to repair the home not improve it. We just want to finally move it.
