Bella, our 6 lb protector..then "Jr", who we rescued at about 6 weeks old, Madeline; the newest member of the family; a beautiful tortoiseshell who someone had tossed into the river..next? is Maddie, hanging out with her pal; Dega; our white shepherd..I have more images, and more furkids..but no more room here so..placing a picture of the Carolina Blue skies even on a winters day..breathe in, breathe out..
Harvest Moon Haven..from our front porch. We moved here, from the cold, cold northern weather up against the shores of Lake Erie; in Cleveland Ohio. In the Spring of 2012, I was diagnosed with four more types of cancers..cracking a wisdom tooth trying to "ride the pain" through that one..moved to warmer climates, and hopeful peaceful living. I have instead it seems, been dealing with non-stop kidney infections, kidney stones, nearly going into renal failure twice. and the bills continue to come in. The powers that be, tell us that because we are married, despite the fact my husband is disabled himself; he receives 13.00 a month too much, for me to receive help. Our only option, is divorce; which ought not be. our well water here, is unsafe. We need a whole house system. The well pump keeps burning out, needing replaced and each time the water goes off and then we get it back on; even the washer and the showerheads and sinks are clogged with red clay stones/clay. I guess it would be high in minerals, but one of the paramedics happily explained that North Carolina is "the kidney stone state". *sigh* Soo, as best as we can find; the Big Berkey Stainless Steel countertop unit would be awesome and is less money than many other systems that really; just give you "dead" water. There is no electrical hookups, and the filters, though costly; at 100.00 each and need two each time; only need replaced once a year (atleast; thats the hope, I dont like that our pets have to drink from the well; and truly? dont understand how, when we live so far from cities, people, etc; our well is still unsafe.
