Hello! Welcome to the journey, it starts NOW!
The trip to Mozambique with Iris Global is from June 1st through August. Iris Global trains pioneers to bring revival to the marketplace, bridging the gap between city and slums. The training is a 4 part series including who God is, whose I am, my assignment, and cross cultural engagements. During the trip, I will have opportunities to interview missionaries, witness miracles, and apply what I’ve learned in extended outreach (Location TBD).
I will be combining my education from Bethel University and Iris Global with my mission experiences to take on marketplace missions that generates revenue for kingdom purposes through churches around the world. I don’t need to go, but given the opportunity during my gap year, I can’t pass it up. I want to have intimacy with Jesus and go forth from a place of rest. I want to be empowered to stop for the one and believe for the many, equipped with God’s promise to always be with me. God told me that “Minneapolis is my driveway and the world is my backyard, go and play”. So I get to go to Africa, and return with ways to make a differnece and change the world to impact 1 more heart to grow an inch closer to God’s heart.
I am here today because of your community, prayers, and support thus far. God is doing so much in MN, the harvest within Twin Cities, and in your communities. My heart is to return being more equipped to make a difference in families, communities, and businesses. On my own strength, I can't do this. Jesus fuels the grace and you fuel the resources. God knows all the logistics--people, place, timeline, and solutions. I know the Great Commision is to go and it is for now. As a college student, I do not have all the funds needed for this trip, but this time of my life is pivital for the trajectory of my future. As you give, please know that your generosity impacts far greater individuals and relationship than a one time trip lasting just 2 months!
Now for the fun part - there are 9,026 miles between Minneapolis, Minnesota and Pemba, Mozambique. The total costs of the trip estimate under $7,500. The mile per dollar cost is .80c. Would you commit a certain amount of miles, that collectively I can get there faster? As more funds come in, you can see how many more miles are needed, and can pray for 0 miles remaining. All of my sponsors will be recognized at the end of the journey.
