Harry's Hero's Charity Football Match

As most of you will know, our son Harry was born with a congenital heart defect called Truncus Arteriosus. When Harry was only two weeks old he underwent open heart surgery meaning myself and him had a 4 week stay in Leeds General Infirmary. Had it not been for the amazing charity the Children's Heart Surgery Fund it would not have been possible for me to stay so close by at the hospital whilst our tiny newborn baby was fighting for his life in the pedeatric intensive care unit. Not only do they provide accommodation for parents of children with heart problems admitted to LGI, they also provide life saving equipment and fund staff training & scientific research. This charity plays a vital role in not only keeping our heart kids fit and healthy but also in saving their lives, and knowing that Harry will have more surgeries to come in the future at LGI it would mean the world to us if you could help us in raising funds for this charity that we hold so close to our hearts (no pun intended!)

In addition to this fundraising page, Mike will be holding a charity football match on the 29th May 2022 at Ethel Ward playing field 12pm kick off followed by a small get together at Haxby sports club to try and raise some extra funds which we welcome people to come along to.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read our story and we hope to see some of you at the charity football match in May.
