Ryan Harrison Moto Accident Recovery Fund
Alright guys, as most of you have learned, Ryan was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident, and is going to require significantly more care than the insurance is going to cover. Severe life changing injuries. Please read full story below for details.
So it's time to pony up and help our buddy Ryan Harrison, depending on how you know him and how long you've known some of us remember him as 'Rion'. To this day, I honestly have no idea how he actually spells his name haha. Ryan is about as entertaining of a character with a good heart as anyone can be. Many of you know him from the car racing world, from starting and running Rival House to the voice of DriftSTL and Turismo Drift pro drift series, or possibly from the motorcycle industry or the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. However you know him, you probably connected with him quickly like many of us did. He has just incredible energy, and positivity, and is a vibrant ball of livliness and entertainment.
He was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident back on May 19th. He's been in the hospital since. His injuries so far are severe, but surviveable, however life changing. He is now stable and in in-patient care, and looking to be in hospital care for another 30-90 days. The 2 wheels he is riding now is much different than before, and Ryan and Amy are going to need a LOT of support financially to cover the expenses of the accident and changes needed to the home after he is able to return home. At this point he is looking at years of recovery therapy to get to a point of real independence.
Injuries incurred were severe and heavy. Most everything in his lower half is damaged or broken, including spinal damage resulting in paralysis below the belly button. It's too early to tell what the future holds, obviously we are praying/hoping for the best, but going to help Amy and Ryan prepare for the worst. Everything from missing work to medical bills to transportation costs, therapy costs, and changes to the home to be made accessible.
