Harper Needs Help

Anyone who knows our friend Buf/Mary knows at minimum these two things. 1. She is fiercely loyal and will do anything for you. 2. She loves her dog Harper more than life itself. And now she and Harper need your help. Harper has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of stomach cancer. The good news is, it was caught early.  Surgery was recommended and took place two weeks ago. An expensive surgery, to be sure, but a successful one. It is believed that the mass was removed, there was no evidence of metastasis. But, because of the aggressive nature of this type of cancer, an expensive chemo drug is recommended, along with regular CT scans. Dogs tolerate chemo much better than humans and Harper should do well. In fact, she's bounced back already with such energy and spirit. We want to keep it that way, and keep her around for the long life she is supposed to have, not cut short. But Buf needs our help. The truth is, this is a huge expense on a teacher's salary. Honestly, Buf wouldn't even ask herself. And we aren't asking for even half of the total cost. But, if everyone pitches in just a little, we can help ease this burden and give Harper the best chance of success. And look, we all get it, dogs and cancer. Going to the ends of the earth doesn't always make the most sense. In this case, all options have been contemplated, and moving ahead with surgery and treatment is the right choice. For Harper and for Buf. Do what you can. Thank you.
