Haoles Get All The Girls Film

Don protégé

Set in one day, Haoles Get All The Girls follows a young Hawaiian boy, Jonah, as he sets out with his little brother, Ikaika, to deliver a love letter to his crush. As Jonah struggles to tell his crush how he really feels he must also confront his insecurities, identity, and friendships.

***IMPORTANT UPDATE: We are so honored by the immense support from the City and County, State and Films Commission office. With all things logistical in film, it is all about funding and permission. My producer and I have been working tirelessly to negotiate prices and gain access to certain communities/facilities and I am happy to announce we got the green light. In order to not compromise our story and truly honor these places, we need a big push in paying for Insurance ($500), the Bus ($600), and Kahana Valley ($600). Mahalo for taking the time to read this and we'd appreciate if you could donate and share.

WHAT THIS FILM DOES:  With this short film, we want to represent the underrepresented communities and people of Hawai'i. In all things, our hope is to unravel the myth that Hawai'i is a paradise and truthfully portray the tumultuous times and struggles locals face in a comedic light.  This film not only deals with the impoverished but racial tensions and cultural identity.

WHERE WE ARE: Currently we are in the pre-production stages and are working on casting, locations, and assembling a crew. We are also thinking ahead into post-production and have already started the conversation to collaborate with professional composers, colorists, and post sound designers to make sure it looks and sounds the best.

THINGS TO COME: Production starts in November 2018 and we will continually update this site to keep you in the loop about the official cast, trailer, screenings, the films progress and how your money is being used to support this project and local independent cinema.

If you're unable to give financially, sharing this with others would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo for your financial support, we're excited to have you be a part of this journey!
