Hansel - No Holds Barred Release

Hansel is an experimental electronic project started in 1995. In 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2014 Hansel released full length albums through Canadian label DTrash records.

Many fans of Hansel love the sound and want more, but the problem is that there is no income into the project, time is escaping and Hansel has never once stepped foot in a studio or once used a single piece of decent equiptment. We have been bedroom musicians using cheap software and cheap instruments forever, and are capable of so much more.

For years I have dreamed of producing an album that is done in a way that truly expresses what I am capable of, and this is a last ditch effort to raise funds to do so. 

I would love to use pipe organs, mellotrons, live strings, professional studio just once to allow hansel to reach its most true potential, and at the very least prove that there is enough interest to continue the project.

Part of the proceeds (if we reach our goal) will also go towards funding live feed performances and hopefully venue performances again.

Im asking the fans to step up. Ive never received much money from any of the past releases, they only ended up being huge debts to cover ordering the cds... many of which sit in boxes unsold still. Hansel has potential and Im willing to throw myself into it and do what needs to be done for greatness, but have been consistently too broke to do what I want for over a decade. 

Its OUR band not my band afterall.
