Hannah’s 18th fundraiser for Shelter House

Hello everyone,
My 18th birthday is in a few weeks on March 24th. In honor of this, I am asking you to join me in supporting Shelter House during this particularly difficult time. Shelter House's mission is to prevent and end homelessness and domestic violence by engaging the community, building effective relationships, and providing crisis intervention, safe housing, and supportive services. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, raising funds and serving those in need of Shelter House’s services had been especially challenging. Due to the generous donors in the past year they have been able to help others through things like the Quarantine, Protection, Isolation, Decompression (QPID) site, a 200-bed facility, to shelter those experiencing homelessness who are in high-risk categories and those who are showing symptoms of the virus. With the assistance from the staff and supporters like you, Shelter House served nearly 850 households, comprised of 2,000 individuals – half of which were children. Of the households that exited shelter, they moved 65% into permanent housing.
Whether you donate $1.80 or $180, your contribution will make a difference.
While the Shelter House team is working hard to provide services to our community, many of us at home, can do our part to support them by donating and spreading the word. If you could take a moment to share this via social media or otherwise, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m sure that many of you will be missing your usual birthday celebrations as well and together we can celebrate by making a change.
