Hannah's Heart

Donation protected
Hannah Marie Gremmels was born Wednesday January 17, 2018. Andy and Kaitlyn were so excited to be welcoming their second child. I will never forget the phone call from Andy “Mom, they took her, she isn’t getting oxygen, they think it’s a heart defect.” I was so scared and hearing the terror in his voice broke my heart.Hannah was born with a congenital heart defect known as “Transposition of the Great Arteries”. What it means is, her Aorta and here Pulmonary Arteries are switched. Oxygenated blood was flowing back into her lungs and not to her other organs. She was rushed to the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital. She has already gone through one procedure and on Friday January 26 she will undergo open heart surgery. Please keep her and her family in her prayers. Andy and Kaitlyn will be starting a Caring Bridge Page to keep everyone informed.I am starting this go fund me page to help them through the financial toll this will bring to them. Hannah has a long road ahead of her. This will mean many sleepless nights and long days. During this time, they will miss work so they can focus on Hannah and her big sister Lauren. Every little bit will help, but if you are unable to donate we understand and hope you will share this with your family and friends to get the word out. Thank you, we appreciate all of you ❤️
