Hannah - Irukandji Syndrome

Donation protected

This is Hannah' story.

On Easter Sunday, Hannah (14) was with friends, boating off the coast of Dampier (1600kms north of Perth), when she was stung by an Irukandji jellyfish and quickly developed Irukandji syndrome. Hannah was rushed to Nickol Bay Hospital in Karratha and then airlifted to Princess Margaret Hospital on Easter Monday in an induced coma.

Hannah has woken from the coma but devastatingly continues to have long episodes of severe pain throughout her body, with nausea and difficulty breathing. Hannah needs her family in Perth to support her. Your donation will help cover unpaid leave, flights and accommodation for Hannah's family to be in Perth for an indefinite time, to give Hannah the support she needs to recover from this horrendous experience.

Anything you can do to help make this happen will be fabulous. Hannah is so courageous and we want to help her to be back on her feet as soon as possible.

Hannah is my daughter, Zoe's best friend and is like another daughter. She's at my breakfast bar every school morning and Zoe and Hannah are often adventuring together, as they were on this day.

Hannah's family are incredibly grateful for your support. Your donations will be delivered to Casey (Mum) to cover the costs that have been incurred from this event.
