Handicapped Pilot Learning to Fly

My Name is Cris Rasmussen, I was born with Spina Bifida and have been in a wheelchair since the age of 2. I have always loved flying since I was young. I am on the path to fulfilling my dream of becoming a pilot. I am a sophomore at Middle Tennessee State University majoring in aerospace dispatch. I have been taking flying lessons for about 4 years and have over 50 hours. I am at the point now where I need a plane with a hand control to be able to fly independently, whithout this I cannot progress towards realizing my dream. Unfortunately there aren't any air planes in my local area that have this equipment so I have to buy the equipment and have it installed. It is estimated to cost over $2000.00 to purchase and install this equipment. Others with physical disabilities similar to my own would be able to use this as well.
