Handicap Access For Our Church

St. James Orthodox Church of Taneytown, MD, founded in December of 2006, is a congregation of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. Constrained by the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we have established a permanent presence in Carroll County, where we will strive to be a community of prayer, an example of faith and a people of love for all.

While our new location in Taneytown is beautiful, it does not allow access to all of our faithful. We are asking your help to raise $30,000 in donations to allow all of our brothers and sisters in Christ access to enter and use of our facilities.  We have a donor that will match the first $2500 of donations made through this campaign!

These donations would be used to pay for the necessary renovations to add handicap parking,  chair lift to the enter the worship space, and restrooms renovations to make our place of worship accessible to all the faithful, without barrier or hindrance. With your help, we can open our doors to all faithful seeking the word of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
