Hand in Hand for Lebanon

Heartbroken and devastated we cannot join our family and friends in their pain and agony during the catastrophe which hit our home country, Lebanon. But hand in hand we can stand with and support our Lebanese people. We are raising funds for families, individuals and front line workers to provide food, water, medical supplies and shelter to thousands left with shattered homes. Each donated dollar will be given directly to families and individuals.

Why?
Hand in Hand we will support those who have been affected by the explosion in Lebanon. The explosion killed hundreds of people, injured more than 5,000 (not including those who are still missing), left 300,000 displaced and homeless. Many families were torn apart and left with nothing.
Need?
Besides the explosion and the current pandemic of COVID-19, Lebanon entered its worst economic crisis in decades. The currency collapsed, businesses shut down, prices for basic foods increased significantly, posing a threat of famine. The Lebanese “lira” lost 80% of its value, further burdening the lives of people, and increasing unemployment rates. Medical care centres and hospitals are running out of personal protective equipment and medical supplies, along with an urgent need for blood donors.
